At the January 2026 meeting, neighbors gathered to reflect on the strong progress made over the past two years in reestablishing the civic association after a long hiatus. Leadership highlighted major accomplishments, including updating and modernizing the bylaws, restoring and stabilizing the bank account, reestablishing nonprofit status with the IRS (with some paperwork still pending), rebuilding relationships with local officials and public safety departments, and launching consistent communications through newsletters, flyers, email, and a neighborhood website. Financially, the association grew from under $1,000 and no active members to a stable balance of over $1,500, supported by roughly 40–47 paying households per year while keeping expenses modest.

Community-building was a central theme. Events over the past two years included a meet-and-greet, monthly happy hours, a revived block party (with roughly 100 attendees), a fall social, a neighborhood yard sale in collaboration with Tyler Park, a holiday lights contest, and new holiday caroling efforts. The Welcome Wagon committee continued greeting new residents, and a communications team formalized flyer routes and event signage to improve outreach.

An update was provided on Fairfax County school boundary discussions. Thanks to significant community input, the current proposal does not rezone the neighborhood away from Pine Spring Elementary, though future revisions remain possible.

The meeting concluded with unanimous election of a new board: Chad Ramsey (President), Andrew Mitchell (Vice President), Caitie Duncan (Secretary), and Nick Orrison (Treasurer), with appreciation expressed for outgoing leadership and optimism for continued growth and engagement.
